Thе first Windows 8 video, thаt Microsoft posted οn June 2 οn YouTube, offered a sneak peek οf thе touch interface οf thе upcoming Microsoft operating system. It caused quite thе confusion, аѕ many viewers assumed thаt thе operating system wουld look lіkе thаt οn thеіr desktop PC аѕ well. Frοm whаt wе сουld gather, thеrе wіll bе a standard desktop interface available аѕ well, wіth possibilities tο switch between thе interfaces. @rensdyr1 What do the drivers have to do with the programs that are running? It doesn’t matter that they are opensource. It actually goes against them. Open source means that the manufacturers are thinking that it’s not worth enough for them to spend resources making drivers for Mac so they rely on other people to do it. I don’t think you know exactly what drivers are.
@jokerarayko well actually drivers on mac os x are opensource… and windows are already using too much RAM as it is right now

@Deadplc0 I’ve had Win 7 32 bit running on 512 MB. The minimum RAM is made like that so that people wouldn’t have any problems when running other programs. The OS X platform is a closed platform so it is easier for Apple to control the programs running on their devices and they can also dictate how much resources a program should use. While with windows, it’s every man for himself.

Mac OS X requires 2 GB or RAM and WIndows 7 32 bit requires 1GB and 64 bit requires 2 GB or RAM. How is that less?

The layout of Windows 8 on a PC/laptop shouldn’t be like a tablet, it should stay the same as it is, also one more bad thing about windows, their OS uses up to much RAM, Apple can make amazing OS with the use of less RAM, so why can’t Microsoft?
The matter of the fact is Microsoft are losing a battle they can’t win, they need to think, what the users need and want, at less specs like Apple does.
I’m a PC user and want Windows to fellow Apples direction and make an amazing OS using less Specs.
Perhaps, when you move your finger from the right THEN down ALL background apps will appear making it easier for you to choose the app you need to work with. Scrolling through all background apps to get to the one you need seems a little annoying.
Windows 8 looks interesting, though…
…Well, the Snap feature is kinda cool.
